ukaihi feat. Hatsune Miku - ＊･ﾟ+｡Sono nite.ﾟ (Devin S.G. Remix)
I was commissioned by Crypton Future Media to remix ukaihi's original Hatsune Miku song, '＊･ﾟ+｡Sono nite.' and believed I wanted to make a *really* trancy, pop breaks Miku. At the time of making this I was without most of my studio and on a couch, I had a fairly minimal setup at the time: A Thinkpad running Linux, Bitwig Studio, and a Deckard's Dream.
On one hand, the timing was hard, but I'm super happy about how it turned out and grateful that I was brought on board for this compilation, especially to remix this particular song by ukaihi. I've loved Miku a ton since a teen, so getting to make this one was a full circle moment for me. Enjoy
About Devin S.G.
How do you make a center out of your influences? Devin S.G., born Devin Glover from Oakland, CA, has been asking himself that for years and continues to find answers.
Growing up on the internet with technology, cars, trance and anime in rotation is a shared interest among many, but defining a sound out of all of your favorite things fused together can be a difficult play for any incoming artist. Initially based and learning in Los Angeles, each thing in the rotation has taken turns being louder than the rest, pushing a sound built on expressive melodies, tricky patterns, wailing cloudy synths, and hard, groovy drums.
Over time, that rotation has spilled into collaborative sessions, support sets, and the occasional URL night where half of the crowd is the world. He's worked alongside artists Tomu DJ and onlytom, opened for Leonce and ANAMANAGUCHI, appeared on streams like SPF420 and AEL: MetalEvergreen, and ended 2025 with a spot on HATSUNE MIKU Digital Stars 2025.
Alongside his music is a set of engineering and design skills that draw a big picture: bombastic techno, computer graphics, and fun multimedia, all as his evergrowing center.
